Soulcaster I & II PC Combo Pack for $5

For those of you who haven’t yet played the Soulcaster games on PC, here’s your chance to own both at a $1.02 discount compared to buying them separately ($2.99 USD each) on Desura.

The best part is that despite the discount, I make more per sale than I would anywhere else, thanks to the generous terms of the Humble Store.  We’re talking around 90% of your purchase price (give or take a few % based on which payment provider you use).

Huge thanks to Humble for letting me take part in this program. Direct sales from this site is something I’ve wanted for a while.

In case you were wondering: No DRM, no internet connection required while playing.  Just a Windows setup file for each game. Easy Peasy.

Escape Goat XBLIG Sales Up 2x After GameSpot Mention

A year ago I wouldn’t have thought it possible, but a major press mention has actually made a noticeable impact on sales. Last week, GameSpot posted It Came From Xbox Live, which featured Escape Goat very prominently and positively. Since then, sales have improved from an average of 10 per day to about 20 per day. Huge thanks to GameSpot for their coverage!

Soulcaster I & II Are On PC!

The wait is over… you can get these titles right now as part of the Indie Royale bundle!

Already played them on Xbox?  Well I’ve added a few extras to sweeten the deal:

  • Three control schemes:  Original 360 controller, keyboard only (fully remappable!), or click-to-move with keyboard and mouse
  • New challenge rooms:  18 all new levels (8 for Soulcaster, 10 for Soulcaster II) which unlock after beating the campaign. Think of them as time trials with unique combinations of summons.  It even saves your best times for each room!
  • Unlockable campaign modes:  Hard Mode not difficult enough for you? Try going without one of the summons.  Still not had enough? Try beating the game with just the archer!  Your best total time for each campaign mode is also saved.
  • Autosaving.  No more writing down passwords (though I’m gonna miss this).  It is 2012 after all.
  • Option to run in windowed mode or full-screen, stretched to fit or pixel-perfect.

I’m really excited to finally offer these games on PC.  My main project this year so far has been porting these games, and I couldn’t have done this without the help of my crack team of beta testers.  I love you guys!

Time for some screenshots:

Comments are very welcome here!  I hope you enjoy Soulcaster I & II on PC!

Escape Goat Price Drop: Now 80 MSP!

Delighted as These Creatures

Today was one of the great days in my game dev career.  I was featured on both Kotaku and Joystiq, got some great comments on both (as well as on my trailer video), and got one unforgettable email from a fan.

Add to all this, a rendition of the goat & mouse by none other than Michelle Juett of Ska Studios.  A contribution out of the blue that helped today tip the scales of awesomeness.  One more pic and I’m going to need a fan art page…

I’m not really sure what to say yet, I’m just thrilled people seem to be digging the game so far.

Goat = Escaped!

Yup, it’s on the marketplace, as of this writing sitting at 4/5 stars and 36 reviews.  Not really sure yet where it will land in the lists, but it feels great to have it out there, and so far the feedback has been pretty positive.  More updates here as the reviews start happening.
