“I’M A GOAT! I’M A GOAT!!” – Brandon Sheffield, Game Developer Magazine
The Sheep are Slumbering.
And while they sleep, the Prison of Agnus remains closed, with you trapped inside. To escape, you must work with a mouse companion to solve puzzles, overcome devious traps, and outwit determined foes.
Escape Goat is a new take on puzzle platforming. Developed with a unique physics engine that allows pixel-perfect world manipulation and destruction, you must use the environment to your advantage to overcome over 50 rooms of challenges. If this isn’t enough, use the built-in level editor to create your own wicked contraptions!

Escape Goat Press Mentions
Escape Goat featured in Famitsu 360! Translation (courtesy of James McCawley):
Traps and puzzle-solving enjoyment!
Pure action fun!(Screenshot captions)
-Easy to play puzzle action with simple 8 bit-like graphics.
-It may look like a typical indie-style retro game, but you get a lot of quality for the price.
-Controls are very responsive, so you can immerse yourself in the puzzle solving and action. This is a jumping action game with a strong puzzle element, in which you play as a goat, evading various traps to reach the goal. You must operate switches, either directly or by using your mouse ally*, to progress through each level. Stage layout and trap configurations are constantly transforming. About halfway through, the game really starts demanding precise control from the player, and the puzzles can be quite strict. But because the control is excellent, action game fans should get a lot of value for their money here.
*he calls the mouse an “option”. I think this gives you a certain license to call the game Gradius VI. – James

Looks awesome!!
I just posted a link to the soundtrack which is available on Bandcamp. As an experiment, it’s pay-what-you-please with $0 minimum. Glad you are enjoying the soundtrack and game!
This looks awesome! Any chance of this coming to PC, steam perhaps?
A PC port is in the works, and of course Steam would be a great way to distribute. Stay tuned!
Thanks for adding my review of Vidaextra and congratulations again for this game!
Just downloaded Escape Goat for Xbox 360 yesterday evening after wanting to take a break from SKYRIM – Excellent, I love it! Old school gaming still has its place, it’s especially welcome from those like Magical Time Bean who have the skill and talent to execute it so well. Escape Goat is a fantastic achievement! Thanks for the FUN!
This game is AWESOME. Just bought it tonight. Reminds me of the days of Lode Runner and Jet Pack— with a puzzle twist. The puzzles are fun, the level design is great…I have to say this is in a league of it’s own on the XBL indie marketplace. Keep it up, Ian!
Yessss! Escape Goat soundtrack! I really like music (and the rest of the game, of course).
I can now reveal that Entryway, Royalty and Secret Gears are my favourites. I smiled whenever I heard one of them in the game.
Did you compose the soundtrack yourself, Ian? It’s very professional.
Thank you! Yes, I wrote all the music as well. My background is in composing for game soundtracks, so my goal is to leave a lasting impression with the music.
